Your Therapy Team
When most people think of rehabilitation following a sports-related injury, they only think of physical therapists and athletic trainers. We follow a more comprehensive approach. Depending on your injury and your needs, we can draw upon the expertise of radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. We are committed not only to treating your injuries, but also to educating you about how to continue successful rehabilitation and healthy exercise after leaving our care. Our team includes:
- 14 Physical Therapists
- 4 Occupational Therapists
- 5 Speech Therapists
- 2 Athletic Trainers
If you’ve been injured in an accident, undergone surgery, broken a bone, suffered from lower back pain, arthritis, heart disease or other debilitating conditions, our physical therapists can work with you. Therapists restore impaired functions, improve your mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. Upon referral from your doctor, our experienced therapists develop an individualized program of care tailored to your needs and abilities.
Our speech therapists work with patients who need assistance to speak and communicate clearly. Speech therapy can be especially helpful for patients whose abilities are impaired because of a stroke or head injury, who suffer from speech impediments such as stuttering, who have suffered hearing loss, or who have a mental disability or a condition such as cerebral palsy.
Occupational therapy helps people learn or regain both physical and cognitive abilities to carry out activities of daily living, such as eating and dressing. These services can be especially valuable to persons recovering from stroke or a serious injury and for those suffering from disorders like multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease. Our therapists work with each patient on a one-on-one basis to help maximize skills and abilities. Often, these services can be the difference that enables patients to live independently at home.
Pelvic Floor Therapy
Wasatch Peak Physical Therapy is proud to feature an orthopedic clinical specialist certified in women’s health. We are currently accepting patients suffering from incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, organ prolapse, postpartum changes, and other pelvic floor and urogynecology issues. Many women have found relief from their pain and discomfort through pelvic floor therapy in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
Therapy services partner closely – and oftentimes overlap – with inpatient rehabilitation services at Davis Hospital and Medical Center. Inpatient rehabilitation services are available to meet all of our patients needs. Learn more about
