Nicki Bullard and the rest of the team at Utah Scentsy, a wickless candle company, presented photographer Pat Wimpee a check for $1,600 Thursday night at Davis Hospital and Medical Center. Wimpee, a professional photographer, donates much of her time to Utah Share – a resource for parents and families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss – by taking photographs of stillborn babies for those parents who request her services. Her photography work with Utah Share is free, but her operating expenses are not. That is why the Utah Scentsy team chose to donate funds from their annual fundraising efforts to Wimpee, to help with some of the costs associated with her photography for this organization.
“Pat gives not just a lot of her time to Utah Share, but a lot of herself,” Bullard said. “It’s not unusual for her to get a call or request in the middle of the night, after which she will spend several hours editing the photos prior to presenting them to the parents. We just want her to know that her efforts have not gone unnoticed.”
