Davis Hospital Offers Height Predictor Screening For Children And Young Adults
Sept. 5, 2012
WHAT: Height Predictor Screening
With a simple hand x-ray, growth plates in the hand can be evaluated and compared with scientific charts to determine the ultimate height of an individual. Studies have shown this can be an accurate way of evaluating growth potential for children or young adults between eight and 18 years of age. This can help in determining the athletic potential of an individual where size may play a role in choosing a sport.
WHO: B. Thomas Watson, M.D. and Rodney Jay, M.D. from Davis Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will host this screening and evaluate participants’ results.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 5, 2 – 5 p.m.
WHERE: Davis Hospital and Medical Center Campus
Bitner Medical Office Building
