Davis Hospital and Medical Center is expanding with a new, three-story patient tower currently under construction. The $36 million expansion includes 67 additional beds, a brand new fourteen-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Women's Surgical Services Unit, and expanded pediatric, medical/surgical and inpatient services. We're also converting our semi-private hospital rooms into private suites. Completion of the beautiful new tower addition is scheduled for spring of 2009.

Construction Updates - June 2008
Erection of steel for our new patient tower is taking place soon. This is an exciting time for Davis Hospital! Our project is impacting the parking availability in the main parking area of the hospital. We will continue to do everything we can to make access and parking as available as possible during this time of growth.

Davis Hospital has great volunteers available to assist patients with directions and escort to hospital departments. Please ask us for help, if you need assistance.

If you have any questions concerning our expansion please feel free to contact Klay Kunz, Special Projects Manager at 801-807-7079 or email us at davishospital@iasishealthcare.com.

UDOT completes Antelope Drive project
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) project to install a median island on Antelope Drive near the Davis Hospital entry is complete. The purpose of the raised median is to improve safety by preventing left turns at this location, which is a high-accident area. The median will require “right-in” and “right-out” turns to and from the hospital parking lot at Antelope Drive.

The median will improve safety by creating a physical separation between traffic, preventing motorists from making simultaneous left turns into and out of this access point (often resulting in crashes). While the change in access may represent a small inconvenience, the trade-off will result in a substantial increase to motorist safety.
